AKAI Professional Advance 49 Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller w/ Few Bad Keys. The item for sale is For Parts or Not Working. Upon inspection of the device. I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use. All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition. There are noticeable scratches on the top panel where the display is. I was able to power on the device with an in-house USB-B cable, as well as an in-house power supply (5.5mm outer 2.5mm inner tip and USB-B cable not included). There are two keys that do not have proper velocity control. They can bee seen in the photos marked by red tape. The device's firmware has been updated to the 1.25 version.

I was able to test the display to be working. I was able to test the indicator lights to be working. I was able to test the device with an in-house PC running an audio software program (not included).

I was able to see the device in the program and use the device as a controller to play notes within the program. I was able to navigate the menus with no issues using the arrow keys and the selector knob. I was able to partially test the MIDI functions. The device only sends MIDI out signal for an external device like a MIDI processor. The MIDI was nonfunctional with the USB connected to the PC. I was able to confirm MIDI IN using an in house USB to MIDI cable (not included). Pitch and modulation wheels are tested to be working.

Sustain and Expression ports are untested. No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources.
